Try and get GTX 1050 at least.
It is more suitable for the games you mention.
You want some future proofing when buying a graphics card.

GT 1030 is considered low end card. Your system is capable of handling much better cards -
like GTX 1050, 1060, 1070.

Hello and sorry for late reply. Thank you both for your answers. I was initially planing to buy the gtx 750 ti but then i relized the pc came with a 250 watts power supply. So that was why i was considering buying the gt 1030 because of its low power consumption.my budget is about 100ish and i saw a gtx 1050 around that price. the computer is an optiplex 990 and its thinner than most pc's

Dell Optiplex 990 DT model supports standard PSUs. So you can change it and use any graphics card you desire.
But if you stick with current psu, then it wouldn't be recommended to use any more power hungry card than gt 1030.
