make sure in the software both 2.4 and 5g is on on the usb wifi stick and on your router. on your router make sure it transmitting a ssid. and if it both 2.4 and 5g make sure both radios are on.

I'm not too savvy on this.

Where would I go to make sure of these things?

WPS connection isn't working either

I'm in my router's configuration page and I can check what is enabled on my router... how do I do that with the wifi adapter?

My router is broadcasting its ssid in both 2.5GHz and 5GHz

So, here's my summary:

Router has 2.5 GHz and 5 GHz Wireless Modes (?)

The 2.5 Wireless Status:
Channel: Auto
Broadcast SSID: Enabled
Wireless Mode: Compatibility Mode (802.11b/g/n)
Radio: Enabled

The 5GHz Wireless Status:

Same settings as above except Wireless Mode is set to N and AC Mode(802.11n/ac)

------------------------------------

My Adapter's Wireless Mode Setting is currently set at 802.11b/g/n.

However, other choices include the following:

Auto (this was the default setting before I changed it)
802.11ac
802.11a
802.11a/n
802.11a/n/ac
802.11b
802.11b/g
