Does ram speed on Ryzen matter?

I will buy a new Ryzen 1400 with b350 mobo and 8gb ram. And I am asking, should I get 3000mhz+ speed? Does really matter on games?

unless u're playing with a 120hz monitor or more (high end gamers) no, it won't have any big impact (small fps difference overall i think), though, the minimum suggestion is 2400mhz, i suggest u get that instead :)

then again, there's nothing wrong with getting a 3000mhz right away if u have the money, so when u upgrade later on, u won't need to buy new RAM
