Recently, I bought another 2 x 4GB G.skill ram to upgrade my existing 8gb ram (2x4gb)I've checked that all of my ram sticks are the same before i bought the sticks. Once i slotted in the ram sticks, booted up bios and it only shows that 8gb ram is installed when 4 of the ram slots are detected. I've checked cpu-z and it could detect 4 slots too.Windows also could detect 8 gb of ram too.Could anybody help me with this ?Thanks.

My specs:

Motherboard : H170 pro gaming asus
ram : G.skill ripjaws DDR4-2400
Processor: i5-7400 intel

Solution
First, what is the part number of the memory modules (F4- . . . . )?

Try checking with ONE module at a time installed.

Make sure that available memory is not limited under advanced boot options (Run > type in msconfig and press enter key > boot tab > Advanced options).
