is worth upgrading my CPU to a better one?

I built this PC since 2011 and want to upgrade some stuffs to improve my gaming experience on MMORPG games. The only part i upgraded recently is my video card which is the gtx 1060. is it worth upgrading my CPU? and should i upgrade my motherboard too? anyone can recommend me a good updated CPU to this date for my build?

Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600K

Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060

And changing to an FX is just a waste of time and money. Already in for a new motherboard, might as well get new stuff. Which requires RAM as well.
