Hello, I'm creating a new build and I'm wondering if the chosen psu will be enough to handle the gtx 1080 and if the cpu cooler is going to handle the i7 7700k.

  • CPU Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-7700k (4.2GHz) 8MB Cache
    Motherboard ASUS® PRIME Z270-P
    RAM 8GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2666MHz
Graphics Card 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080
Power Supply CORSAIR 650W TXm SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
    Processor Cooling Noctua NH-U14S

And overall is this a good solid build?

The PSU above would be fine for what you're trying to pull off. I'm not familiar with the TXm series either, but Corsair is a reputable company, so I'm sure you'll be fine with it.

For the cooler side of the question, I'm sure that would be fine as well. With 6 heat pipes, and their fans being godlike, there's really no going wrong with it. It would easily cool a 7700k, but if you have plans for a massive overlock, it might not do the job. Intel's TIM for Kaby Lake is terrible, so temps are toasty even without an overclock. AIO would be the route to go there.

It doesn't get many points for beauty, but it would be able to...

It doesn't get many points for beauty, but it would be able to better handle a beefy overclock.
