my pc has 4gb ram installed, yet when i open up task manager it says i'm using about 50 percent of ram and yet it's only about 500mb. what happened to all the other ram?

other ram is reserved by system itself OS and other OS apps there is nothing wrong if you still think something wrong show us the screenshot of the Task manager

thanks very much. i though that might be the case, because it's listed under 'user'. where can i find the entire ram being used?
