Do I need to upgrade my 4690k?

Two weeks ago I purchased the Oculus Rift, and realized my 970's in SLI weren't cutting it for VR (and my triple monitor rig). So, this past weekend I purchased the EVGA 1080 ti FTW 3, and all I can say is WOW! What a difference this has made. My question is, is my 4690k limiting me in any way? Can I wait for a couple more years to upgrade? What CPU should I be looking for next?

Solution
You don't need to update the CPU yet, you can safely wait a couple of years. Your Haswell CPU is almost as fast as the current Kaby Lakes, and it overclocks very well, so any newer CPU is basically a sidegrade, not an upgrade. I would wait at the very least a couple of years to upgrade (until Cannon Lake from Intel, Zen 2 from AMD)
