I was on my PC last night and it was working just fine. This morning I went to power it on and the case lights up and fans spin but nothing happens and I get no post beep or codes. I went through and read a few other threads but everyone had upgraded right before this issue and I have has the same rig for about 4 years. I went through and tried reseating the RAM, GPU and power. Any ideas what this is? From reading the other threads the first thing every will recommend is power supply so I will go grab a new one in a few hours to test but other than that any ideas?

The mobo is the only part which you can't easily verify. No POST, no error beeps, nothing, we're clueless of what could the problem be if it's not a dead mobo.

Still, just try verifying all other components. You can't do this at home, go to a trusted system repair shop, over there, ask them to verify if each part is separately working or not. They'll check the RAM, the HDDs/SSDs, CD/DVD drives and the PSU very quickly but the CPU and Mobo would take time.

That's all I can think of right now.

First step: System Specs (or point out if they're at the bottom left of your reply).

I had the same build since 6 years with successful HW upgrades but this year April, my PSU started giving a burning smell and destroyed my motherboard (it would start and instantly stop and keep repeating). Your case, it's quite not clear what could've possibly happened to a perfectly still working PC.

Try switching display output ports (like from HDMI to something else) or try switching to the iGPU and see if that works.

If you have another compatible working PC, you can check most of your hardware from that PC by using it and seeing if it works.

Most probably your GPU must've gone bad as it's related to the display and hardly gives any error beeps. If you're using a discrete GPU (The PCIe_x16 one), try replacing it or getting it checked.

Yes my specs are the same as my signature. I'm not sure about the GPU going bad because I get no post and my mouse and keyboard wouldn't light up either. I don't have another PC to test anything on unfortunately. I'm starting to think my Mobo may have died but I'm not sure how to verify that

Sorry to hear that mate, don't get negative. This year, after 6 years of nonstop running, my first build ever, got it's PSU burnt and that killed the mobo... You can just buy another mobo compatible to that CPU's socket and it'll work! Not so sure about your Windows license though.

Get a new PSU and the same mobo again, or maybe a downgrade if you have a tight budget. I've successfully switched two motherboards without having any issues with the windows license or hardware compatibility, just had to reinstall the drivers. Good luck!

Yeah I'm currently on Amazon picking out new parts. For an AM3+ Mobo it's $100 and who knows what will fail next and when. I'm upgrading to a Ryzen 5 1600 with a B350 Mobo and 16gb DDR 4 3000 memory. I built my first PC (current one) from my change jar 5 years ago and I refilled the 5 gallon jar so it works out I guess
