Pairing Intel Optane with HDD and SSD

Just a thought, probably not necessary, but is it possible to pair Optane with a standard Hard Drive, while having another m.2 (960 evo) in the system? Would it accelerate the hard drive? I'll be storing some videos and probably movies on the hard drive, and am a little annoyed by the fact that uploading those videos, and having the folder find them takes an excruciatingly long time.

I'm thinking of having the OS and games on the 960 while having any bulk storage on the HDD. Also, would Optane speed up booting?

Well, maybe. But it won't help the upload speed, and probably not the indexing (finding the particluar video)
And of course, the video doesn't play any faster.

I recommend doing some deep investigation into what it can and cannot do.

Basically, it is a cache for frequently used files. Just like an SSHD, or an SSD used a cache drive for an HDD. Just faster than an SSD.
In your case, you won't be watching the same video more than once in a row, so the next one will not be in that cache space. So, it reads directly off the HDD, just as if the Optane cache wasn't there.
