Hi there,
I have a friend who is looking to find a decent gaming pc for his birthday. He only really plays Minecraft, so a graphics card isn't top priority.

Before you go complain in the replies, he can't build his own. His parents just want simple and easy.

Requirments: Good CPU (i3 or Ryzen 3 min)
SSD (250GB is fine, no HDD needed)
8 GB RAM (DDR3 is fine)

Any thoughts? Thanks so much!

This should certainly make for a decent system. From a fairly big name manufacturer.
- Ryzen 5 1400
- GeForce GTX 1050 2GB
- 8GB RAM
- 1TB HDD
- Windows 10
- 802.11ac
- 500w PSU

Here is a boutique brand, ABS. It will have better gaming performance. The CPU is slower for everyday tasks.
- Ryzen 3 1200
- GeForce GTX 1050 4GB
- 400w 80+ PSU
- No wifi

The ABS as mildly better gaming performance and expand-ability off the shelf. The Acer has better CPU performance and the big name. Either will be good for his uses. His parents will probably like the idea of the Acer more. He'll likely prefer the ABS. The Acer...

As full featured as a cheap A320 chipset motherboard can be.

If you have a Microcenter nearby they have the best deal on their house built computer. My experience is they are well made. Plus his parents can just bring it back to the store if it has a problem and get a warranty directly with them. This is by far the fastest.

Wow! That Acer one looks like a great buy. He wants to go with that anyway, just because the better CPU should be an advantage for Minecraft anyway. He's also not someone who needs to best everything, so that build should be pretty much perfect!

That Microcenter one is also pretty awesome. Unfortunetly, he lives in the UK and doesn't want to pay for shipping all the way there. To be honest though, I might end up picking that up when I need an upgrade :p

Thanks for the help!
