Hello
I have finished building my computer today and have tried to open up the BIOS screen to run Linux from a USB, however the boot screen does not show up and nothing is displayed.
My specs:
Mobo: AMD AM1I-A
CPU: Sempron 3850
RAM: Kingston 4GB
GPU: (integrated graphics)
I have no operating system installed yet but am attempting to run and install Linux Cinnamon from a USB. There is no optical drive installed but I am pondering about installing one later. When I boot the computer, all the fans spin, lights turn on (except for the hard disc and reset light) and the hard drive seems to be rotating. Upon turning on the PC the lights of my USB, keyboard and mouse do not turn on, even though I have tried plugging them into both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports.
I have tried:
- Pressing Del, F2, F12, F10, F5, Ctrl+Alt+Esc, Ctrl+Alt+Del, and the reset switch.
- Resetting the RTC
- Plugging in the computer to two monitors consecutively
- Running Linux off of a portable hard drive from USB
- Plugging in the keyboard to both the back and front USB
I will be using the computer as mostly a dedicated server, but wish to do some light gaming (e.g. Terraria, Minecraft) as well. This is my first time building a computer, so I'm really cautious about what to do.
Thanks in advance :)

If you have a ssd/hdd with a running linux, make a copy of it to another spare ssd or hdd (so you don't kill your original installation), and connect it to a sata port.
Linux is (very often) able to boot and detect the hardware, so it might start. That might help pinpointing your problem.
Do you have such a system?

Sorry I haven't said this before, but I have found the problem, and it is in the memory. Installing a buzzer shows a long beep and two short ones, which indicates a memory problem. I don't know how to get this to work, but am looking for a solution soon.

Update: I have bought another piece of RAM to use in the computer, but the same problem happens again :( I don't think that the memory is a problem, maybe the BIOS or something else might be.
I'm confused as to what to do now. If anyone has a solution, I would be happy, as I'm eager to get it working.
Thanks
