Hello forum. ^_^

I have a mid tower. More specifically, a Cooler Master Storm Scout 2. It have served me well thus far, but looking to upgrade the insides I've run into a problem: The fan I had looked at doesn't fit.

I'm trying to get a Ryzen 1700x build going (no overclocking) and keep seeing the Noctua DH-15 mentioned as a good fan for it, but unfortunately, it's too big for my tower. The side would have to be off, and I think I've heard that isn't a good idea.

This forum were very helpful when I needed help finding RAM, so I figured that perhaps someone could help me with this last piece too. :)

As mentioned, I'm not going to overclock, and it would be good if said cooler would fit AM4, so I wouldn't need an upgrade set too.

Thank you in advance. :)

Solution
It supports a cooler that's up to 162 mm high. A cooler like the Cryorig H7 (147 mm high) is powerful enough for the Ryzen 1700x, but you could also fit a Noctua NH-D14 (160 mm high).

Tallest cooler your case can handle? 162mm. That cooler? 160mm. Looks like it also matches the Scout's color scheme.
