I have an amd R9 290x gpu installed for the past two years. I was playing overwatch (nothing out if the ordinary) and my computer crashed and I smelled burning. Gpu was hot so I unplugged it and let it cool. Computer will boot without the gpu installed but won't boot with the 8 and 6 pin power pligges into the gpu. anymore. The comouter will boot eith just the card seated without plugging in the 6 and 8 pin power cables. I'm hoping the gpu isn't fried.
I have reseated the gpu card in other slots and reseated the memory as well.
