My motherboard has 2 ram slots so I can get a total of 32gb of ram.
Right now I am running 1 stick of 8gb ddr4 2400 and I would like to upgrade to 16gb of ddr4 3000. All the ram I look at has heatsink/heat spreader on them. Since I only have 2 ram slots they have to go in side by side, will ram with a heatsink on them fit?

Solution
You're good. In you want verification, list the exact sticks you want to use. But I've never seen DIMM slots so close as to not be able to use heat sinked RAM.

Are you concerned about the width of the sticks being too thick to sit side-by-side? If so, you will be fine. But always list your system specs when you post. That helps us check if there are any oddities that may make a difference.
