Hello Guys. Im In A Dilemma .

In My Conuntry The Price Of RX 480 8Gb And The Price Of Rx 580 4Gb OC Is The Same.
Just Wanted To Ask Which One Should I Buy? Since The Rx 480 isnt Enough Strong To Use 8Gb Of It And I Think For 1440P 4Gb of Rx 580 Isnt Enough. Which Solution U Gimme About My Choice? I REALLY Can Not Afford Rx 580 8Gb.

And I Must Say The Rx 480 Isnt OC. It is :

Asus Rog Strix Rx 480 8Gb Gaming.

Vs

Asus Dual Rx 580 Oc 4Gb

Regards. Khd... :)

There is seriously not that much difference between these cards. Anandtech found a 3% improvement when moving...

The 580 is only an improved 480, the 8gb 480 would be better as you can overclock it yourself - the strix model is very good -

for 1440p you really want a gtx 1070 though, you will need to lower settings with a 480 at that resolution

medium/high should give ok fps on most newer games

Either will do fine at 1440p. As both are mid-range cards, neither does much for "future-proofing your system," so make your decision for today. The 480's 8 gb can help with a few games; the 580's slightly higher clocks may or may not gain you much, depending on the specific games you play.

Well. I Can See A Little Improvement In Texture Mapping unit And Small Factors In Rx 580. Im Just Asking . Will 4Gb Good Enough For 1440p ? At Least Not For Ultra Setting. Just High Setting. And Is 4Gb Vram Is Less For Rx 580 That I Must Choose Rx 480 8gb Because It Got Better Vram Even If Its A Little Weaker Than Rx 580?

There is seriously not that much difference between these cards. Anandtech found a 3% improvement when moving from 480 to 580. That's just not a noticeable difference outside of synthetic benchmarks.

Choose whichever you think you'd be happiest with, for whatever reasons seem good to you.

If you really want a real performance increase over the 480, the next real step up on the AMD side is the Vega 56.

I have a RX480 8Gb on a 1440p monitor - the extra RAM allows top texture settings, which is GOOD - reducing shader quality has less impact on visual quality than lowering texture resolution.
As an example, Deux Ex: Mankind Divided looks (and runs) much better on my screen with Normal/High settings with just the Textures settings jacked up to maximum (it then uses 8 Gb of VRAM) than with all details at maximum except textures lowered to Normal/High (where it uses 4 Gb or less). Same with Doom and many other games that have very high quality textures.
