i have a 0XR1GT model motherboard with an i3 processor and im gonna replace it with an i7

[(Intel Core i7-7700 Desktop Processor 8M Cache, 3.6GHz (Max Turbo Frequency 4.20GHz) 7th Generation)]

so.. will this support my old motherboard? and even if it did, im gonna upgrade the motherboard later, so let me know a good motherboard:
1.it should include 4slots for ram and i want to know if it is the same size as my last motherboard. right now im thinking of this mother board.. ( MSI Arsenal Gaming Intel Z270 DDR4 HDMI USB 3 CrossFire ATX Motherboard (Z270 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC) )

2.it would be great if you could tell me which size my present motherboard is. (0XR1GT) :)

3.i wanna a buy a new CPU case too.. so tell me a good looking one for about 60$..
the case i was thinking of buying is this: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02 Mid Tower Gaming Case

and im planning to use my present CPUs fans and HDDs so i wont be needing anything else. i just need a
1. A new motherboard
2.good looking CPU case
3. to know if an i7 will work on my present motherboard

i will be able to spend about nearly 450$..
and i would be more than happy if you could send me links to order them.. i live in maldives and want to order them from AMAZON :) :)

THANKS! :)

No, they are incompatible. Your old motherboard has a 1155 socket, your new CPU is 1151-style and won't fit.
Your motherboard's form factor (and the case, consequently) is mini-itx. So you should be looking for a mini-itx motherboard with a 1151 style CPU socket. :)
You will NOT be able to use the same CPU fans, and chances are your old RAM won't fit either.
I don't understand what you mean by CPU case, do you mean computer case?

Best of luck with your new pc :)

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130993 isn't exactly cheap or expensive. It will however support the 7700. It could even support OC'ing. Aside from that(your non-k 7700) it has passive heatsinks and other parts which will help to keep it cool and safe.

The case you mentioned will work.

No.

You will also need 8-16GB(recommended) of DDR4 RAM. 2400MHz will work just fine.

so.. u said something about passive heatsinks.. i dont know what that means but.. shud i buy better processor than the one i have in my mind? cux i havent bought anything yet.. just making sure what to buy
and will a "7700k" (i dont even know what that is either) work with the motherboard you mentioned?

Do you see the RAM slots? The CPU socket(where you install the CPU)Look above and also to the left og the CPU socket. Those things with lines and triangles on it are passive heatsinks. Passive heatsinks are heatsinks without fans. Heatsinks help to draw heat away from components

You can still purchase the i5 7600K and use it with that motherboard I mentioned.

Yes the i7 7700K will also work in that motherboard.

so that means i wont need to buy fans? (sorry if im being stupid)
and what processor shud i buy? i prefer anything if its i7.. and it seems u prefer something with a "k" right?

It isn't my preference. It was you that chose the 7600K. I am simply trying to stay in the vein.

You do need fans. The heatsinks on motherboards do draw heat away from the component. It is then the case fans which move that heat out the back of the case. This is why most people prefer their airflow to go from the front to the back of their case. You will need an aftermarket heatsink(https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13C-000U-00005) because processors with a K do not include a heatsink/fan combo.

7700K because you prefer the i7.

With your budget in mind the 7500 i5 would be better. A new motherboard, i7 7700K and RAM is well over $450

sorry
i am a little bit confused..
what is the best choice if i want an i7 processor?

Motherboard @109
I7 7700K $300+
No money left for RAM.

Whatever you want. I was just saying that what you need to support the 76 or 7700K is above your budget.

is there a cheaper i7 processor? not an unlocked? i dont wanna overclock.. and will my current cooler work with that motherboard? so i can save some money for ram
also i found there is a i7 7700 processor on amazon for 281$? thats good right? or could u find something cheaper?

Yes, that's good.

Not sure what's available where you are. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130989 will save you money because you chose a non-K CPU.

i dont know.. its a plastic pretty simple one.. is there any way i can upload a picture? i dont know how to upload using this site.
and if 7700 comes with its own cooler.. do i really need a new cooler for the time being?

No you don't. You're not overclocking or anything so the stock cooler will work.

its alright.. i need this mostly to use photoshop and stuff like that.. and i will buy another ram later.. so it will good right?

Worse actually. All you can do is buy it and see for yourself. Productivity PC's normally use more RAM than gaming rigs.
