So, i just built a new PC and I've made a USB bootable device for installing windows 7 home premium version. When i boot up i get the install screen like normal, but then i get stuck on the "No device drivers were found..." notification. If i click browse my USB device doesn't show up, but in my bios it does show up.
I know the USB ports all work, because i tested them with my keyboard. I've tried it in both NTFS and exFAT formats. I've tried messing with quickboot enabled or disabled, or CSM vs UEFI boot. Nothing.
I have a HDD that i plan to use as a secondary drive, so maybe i can make that a bootable device to install win7 on my SSD, but plugged in via SATA? If i did that would it be USB or optical? I don't have an optical drive currently because i don't really ever use one, but maybe i should just for installation purposes?

any advice would be helpful.

Solution
Which motherbd do you have. This sounds like a case of the install package not having the USB drivers for the ports you are using and just switching ports to usb2 or something would resolve this.
