Can Server Ram Play Game?

Solution
ECC memory can play games, yes - you add a little latency for error correcting but, fundamentally, there's very little difference between ECC and non-ECC.

Where it likely will be a problem though is ECC memory (very) rarely work in 'consumer' motherboards, which do not (generally) support ECC memory.

Yup. And this ^^

ECC adds no latency. Buffering, or registering, adds one cycle of latency.
