hello,

my existing router is too far away from my room, if i buy another router with a built in modem, will i require another internet subscription to have wifi? or can i use the existing internet subscription used at home

Another full-blown router/modem sounds unnecessary - you should only need a (pretty basic) wireless repeater to extend coverage.

That being said, if your house is wired with Cat5e, you should be able to attach a router anywhere along the line and configure it as an access point.

Either way, there's no need for another internet subscription.

Anything you add (excluding a repeater) will likely have it's own SSID that'll need configured and, if you want to 'seemlessly') switch between the SSID's, that takes a bit more work.
