so,yesterday I got a brand new evga gtx 1050, I asked all the precautions I should have handling the card from the bag and that things, I plug it in,change the cable from the vga motherboard to the hdmi port on the gpu trough an active converted, it starts to boot up, but it gets stuck in the motherboard loading screen, seconds later it starts to make a beep sound, and if you let it like that,it then goes to black screen.then I tried, plugin the gpu,but plug in the monitor to the motherboard port, and it doesnt boot if the gpu is installed. a little detail that may be of importance, I have prior to the 1050 only integrated graphics

What tests I can do to see where is the problem? I asked here several times for compatibility issues and there should be none, how can I solve this? at this point im doubting that either im an idiot and everything is in a working state, or that everything broke

Solution
sounds like u haven't update your BIOS, update it first

(it's like my past experience, when i changed to a 1050ti, PC won't boot till i went to the desktop with the iGPU, then flash the BIOS with the newest possible [that's what i did at least] After that, it'll run just fine with the 1050ti)

it doesn't have a model neither in the converter itself or the bag it came in it (but it wasn't cheap,I pay a good amount in it)

HG1M-S1 motherboard
i3-3220 processor 3.30 ghz
4gb of ddr3 ram
and for the time being it's a 550w generic psu, but I am going to get a seasonic 520 80+bronze, Before getting the gpu I ask here if it was safe to trying plug the gpu at least to test whether if it worked or not (not planning to do game, just to verify it was okay) they said yes, so I did

Have you updated BIOS on your motherboard prior to GPU install?

If you are using a VGA on your monitor, skip the hdmi all together and run the VGA through the dvi dongle that usually comes with a new gpu. With any monitor old enough to use VGA there's absolutely no difference between hdmi, dvi and display port except dvi does not need active adapters.

Using the igpu from the cpu, make sure to download and install the correct drivers from nvidia for your card, before installing it.

yes I didn't because I didn't see the need for it,but I will try it maybe that ends up being the solving issue. I won't do it myself because im too scared to broke anything else,so I will be taking the pc to my father (that he came yesterday to try solving the problem and he couldn't) (he's a electronic technician) and he said that maybe with more hours to read and investigate he would maybe figure it out,so I'll be showing him this, thanks ! :)
