MSI Z270 SLI PLUS motherboard and Samsung SM961 (256 GB)

Hey i wanna buy MSI Z270 SLI PLUS motherboard and Samsung SM961 (256 GB) ssd. On this site https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z270-SLI-PLUS#support-hdd is written it only supports 512GB version (MZ-VKW5120) and not 256GB version (MZ-VPW256). My question is will 256GB version work aswell? Thanks for an answer.

You should be fine. You are referring to the storage support list? It does not say that only listed modules will work. This is a list of modules MSI tested on the board. if it is not on the list MSI did not test it. it should work, same as the 512 but with fewer chips.

Thanks for a reply. I also think it should be okay but i have to order this ssd from ebay due to unavailability in my country, so it would be complicated to try return and refund it if uncompatibility occurs. So if anyone is 100% sure those two pieces will work together please respond.
