I have been using a gaming setup for over 3 yrs now, and have reached a stage where most modern games don't work on my pc. Need inputs and suggestion on how to upgrade my pc with the max vfm so i can playout the latest games with 1080p settings. The following is my current config:

CPU: i3 2120
MBD: b75md3h gigabyte
Graphics: AMD Raedeon hd7700 (1GB)
Ram: (2*4GB) corsair 1333
SSD: 128 GB samsung evo 3 boot drive
PSU: Corsair 400W
Monitor: 24" AOC 1080p
Location: India

Since my main focus is on gaming, I feel I can swap my Graphics card with one of the latest ones, but I don't want to end up bottlenecking my card with my other outdated parts. Also at the same time I don't want to update multiple components at the same time. So please suggest accordingly.

Solution
It should run, but I'm going to guess there will be some bottlenecks because of the cpu. I don't have that cpu however. Found an old thread on here with a good suggestion, you may attempt to find a used i5 2400 or something like that and swap it in place of your i3, which may improve things until you can do a full upgrade.

I don't know about your money, but found this on a quick search.

You might also be able to sell the i3 to recoup some costs.

I would like to just start with a graphics card, so would say around 15000 INR, but I am flexible to spend a bit more if I can get more VFM.

And this card won't have any issues with other components of my system. The PCI on my motherboard in particular won't be a bottleneck for this card. Would it ?

Yeah, I have doubts about the cpu limitation as well. I don't want to end up buying a card that will get bottleneck due to my cpu. Thanks for your suggestion, will look into the option of selling off my old cpu as well, but i guess it will be hard to find buyers for that guy now... :)
