Going for a new gaming build and i've never built a PC before so I just wanted to make sure everything's compatible, etc.

CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K 3.8 GHz QuadCore 6 MB Cache CPU - Black
GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1060 WF2 6GB GDDR5 PCI-E
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-H270-HD3 ATX 1151 USB3 DDR4 Motherboard - Black
RAM: (only 1 stick) HyperX FURY Series 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL10 DIMM Memory Module - Black
PSU: Corsair CP-9020097-UK VS Series ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Power Supply Unit, 550 W
SSD: SanDisk SSD PLUS 240 GB up to 530 MB/s Sata III 2.5 inch Internal SSD
HDD: WD Blue 2TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch
Case: NZXT Source 340 Trim Mid Tower Case
Haven't decided on a monitor yet as I want to see the graphics in person in a store.

Thank you, I'm a complete newbie to building PC's so feedback would be great :)

I don't care about overclocking and I have a CPU cooler, just didn't list it sorry.
Just noticed the RAM, going for the HyperX FURY DDR4 8gb now.
What PSU would you suggest?

Not sure how much more this is than your original build, but if you aren't interested in overclocking the i7 7700 is a better deal than the i5 7600k

I already have the CPU, my cousin gave it to me as he's just bought an i7, but thanks for the suggestions

1. What is this of late where everyone seems to want to put 1 stick in a dual channel MoBo ?

Dual means two

RAM must be DDR4 ... 8 GB is kinda light, 16 GB recommended

If ya use 16 GB, get 2 x 8GB sticks; if ya use 8GB, get 2 x 4 GB sticks.

The price of RAM changed little ($9) between 2133 and 3200 speeds till very recently ... now its $20

2 x 8GB DDR4-3200 - $144

2 x 8GB DDR4-3000 - $135

2 x 8GB DDR4-2666 - $135

For 2 x 8GB ya talking $83 for 3200 and $72 for 2133 ... foir $9 most would call that a no brainer

2. If you do not want to OC, drop the k

Pick one:

H270 w/ 7600
Z270 w/ 7600k

5. OK, I see a UK in the product model for the PSU ... if that's the case, good idea to put that in ya post so I wuda gave you UK prices ... those links will still work, just use the UK dropdown in upper right to switch to UK pricing

Bump up the PSU so something of higjher quality
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/nB3RsY/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii620bronze

6. The Blue is an extremely slow HD at 7200 rpm so at 5400 rpm, £57.60 is a lot to pay for a slow drive w/ 2 year warranty and relatively hig RMA rate... A7200 rpm SSHD will cost £27 more but will reduce RMA rate buy more than half, increase warranty to 5 years and improve gaming speed about 2 times over

7. Be wary of cheap MoBo solutions ... when using H series and especially B series MoBos for CPus that don't OC, you will find that most of the lower priced offerings give ya substandard on board components for LAN and audio solutions best use on non-gaming boxes. By the time you increase the price enough to avoid those pitfalls, and get say ALC 1220, you have mo entered Z270 price category in which case you pretty much get the ability to OC and all those other extra Z270 features almost for free.

Thanks, will get 2 RAM sticks. I already have the CPU as my cousin gave it to me. What storage solution would you suggest?
