I want to start this story by explaining the background. I started experiencing bearable frame drops in CS-GO, so I looked into it. My SSD was almost full (1-2 gb left). First I dusted the internal hardware. Then I immediately (to my mistake) deleted every duplicate file on my SSD, thinking that the free space would give me less frame dropping. I tried playing CS-GO again and I got a maximum of 12 FPS. Normally I would run about 250-300 fps, never experiencing any issues with frame rate before hand. I Then got very frustrated. I reinstalled all drives, and tried everything I knew. I eventually clean swiped, and reinstalled windows. Now all my drives are empty, and I manually re-downloaded all my important things (steam, discord, games etc.). I also made sure to download all drivers again. I have every driver up to date, 100% garenteed (I have thuroughly checked). I also re-dusted and everything seems to be in the same condition as before as far as hardware goes. However, I am still experiencing the same issues: 12 FPS in CS-GO, and benchmarking VERY low for my standard.
My Specs are:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Dual Monitor
-1920x1080
-1440-990 (old monitor)
Intel Core i5 3570K @3.4GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960
Samsung 840 120GB (SSD)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB (Hard Drive)
HyperX Savage DDR3 1600 C9 2x4GB
Update: I also feel I should note that my sound quality (Razer Tiamat Headset) is much worse now, there is almost no bass, and the quality is just overall poor.
