I have an ASUS PB298Q 2560x1080 monitor and I used the nvidia control panel to overclock it to 70 hertz. Am I pushing the monitor to hard or do I still have some room to play with?

you should be fine pushing it to 70fps, i think you could even do 80 if you wanted to, just beware of any strange behaviour. if it acts strange, check that the game is matching the monitor speed; the overclocked speed but if this fails stop overclocking until you can get help.

You can push it until it starts to get blurry, then dial back. It's sort of a lcd lottery, you'll notice when the quality degrades. A lot of people get to 75Hz, and more, others can't even go past 60Hz.

I stopped at 80 because I felt safe there and 90 hertz would not display at all, so I know have an 80 hertz monitor. Thanks!
