Is the GTX 1080 faster than the 980 Ti, and by how much?

If the 980 has a good oc(~1500+ mhZ) it is roughly 10% faster than a 1070 and the 1080 is about 20% faster than an oc 980ti. This doesn't seem huge, but the 1080 is clearly the better choice due to power consumption, better dx 12 support and more, faster, memory(gddr5vsgddr5x).
Edit-reccomend 1080 for 144hz 1080p Ultra settings.

you get roughly 25% more performance from the gtx 1080 however if you play CSGO, world of tanks, world of war craft or esspecially league of legends you should stick with the 980.
if you can afford the gtx 1080ti it 60% more power compaired to the gtx 980ti

The 1080 is a great GPU, even for us (980ti owners), the 1080 seems desirable.

As anort3 mentioned. 25% higher performance is in line. It is worth it for 1440p 144Hz. If 60Hz then the 980ti is better buy.
