I still dont know why these rams are not compatible. My mobo (asus m5a97 evo r2.0) supports dual channel, but when i install all the rams the system doesn't boot. I've

corsair 2gb ram - VS2GB1333D3 *2
corsair 4gb ram - CMV4GX3M1A1333C9 *2

When i install them separately they work say
2* VS2GB1333D3 shows 4GB
2* CMV4GX3M1A1333C9 shows 8GB

but not when its all together.
I planned for 12GB memory due to this issue I'm using only 8GB (2* CMV4GX3M1A1333C9).

VS2GB1333D3 and CMV4GX3M1A1333C9 has same config including Latency.

I've been looking for a solution for months.

Solution
Rules to enable dual-channel mode
To achieve dual-channel mode, the following conditions must be met:
Same memory size. Examples: 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB.
Matched DIMM configuration in each channel.
Matched in symmetrical memory slots.

Configurations that do not match the above conditions revert to single-channel mode.

Place the 2gb sticks on slots 1 and 3. Place the 4gb sticks on slots 2 and 4.
Did you try all the slots with a single ram to check if any slots has a fault. Even though the ram is of same speed, they won't be playing together properly.

Please refer the below link to optimize dual channel using your 4 ram sticks:

Peace.

Solution
Issue is probably due to be inter-module incompatibility because the memory modules are not from (the same) dual channel kit.

As mentioned by VJ_Gamer, try arranging modules in suggested slots.

In BIOS, raise DRAM Voltage by 0.05 V, this may help. Not recommended to exceed 1.65 V for the DRAM Voltage though.

If still having issues, try increasing NB Voltage by 0.00625 V also.

But
It shows 12GB and only 9.90GB usable.
