Right last week the blue screen came up while i was doing a job application. My desktop pc operates on Windows 7.

Iv personally never had the blue screen of death or what ever you call it.

So last few days i put on pc, it goes on fine no problems excpet pc needs to reboot in safe mode due to it having went to blue screen last time and me putting it off.

Today the computer was well a computer, it rebooted as McAfee updated, everything went as it should. So left it a good 40mins still as it usually went off after 10mins.

So i decide to go on it, open sketch up as i do 3d modelling of ships ect. Fine, put speakers on and some music from YouTube three mins later it went to blue screen.......

It stated:
Physical memory dymp failed with status 0xc0000001

Contact your system admin or technical support group for further assistance.

Now! Pc will go on, but monitor goes to sleep. Everytime.... it did this before but evently went on, now this time its just tower on, with dvd try when i press to open, it opens then right away closes.... like computer is not allowing itself to allow anything in a sense lol

Can anyone give me advice or anything on this issue! It be much appreciated.

Solution
Hi Ryanjwhyte,

Not much to go on! Desktop/Laptop? Age? Hardware? This would all be helpful in guiding you to a solution to your problem.

I'm no qualified technician
, but I have tweaked my own systems for the last 40 years. All I can do is give you some pointers.
This is what I would do in your situation:
Because the problem appeared from nowhere, all of a sudden.

It could be an overheating problem. If you are convinced your system is free of dust and is well ventilated, then I would go to the next step.

PC needs to be clean
software as well as hardware to give the best performance. I do a CCleaner (Free and good) once a day when I start it up. Then I restart before I begin working on it. Then once a week I...

PC needs to be clean
software as well as hardware to give the best performance. I do a CCleaner (Free and good) once a day when I start it up. Then I restart before I begin working on it. Then once a week I DID a defrag of the C-drive.
(DID= I now have a SSD "no defragging aloud").

Even if there's nothing wrong with you system it's good to do this on a regular basis and you know its not your Hard drive that's failing you!

Changing the RAM sticks. There could be a fault in one of them, also check if the compatibility with the Motherboard. (why the check?) You say you do 3D modeling (very memory demanding software), can't have enough memory as you know. By upgrading your RAM it needs a certain setup to work best. A few years ago I had this blue screen problem, found out one of the sticks had died. (It was a quiet funeral)
In fact this is the first time I've spoken about it since it happened.

While on the subject, check your Virtual memory. I set mine the same as physical memory. 2x4Gb sticks, then I set the Virtual to 8000Mb

And lastly
Driver update. I know Microsoft are leaving the windows 7 users do deal with their own updates now! Does not mean there aren't any.
Check the MS Web, download the latest updates for Win7 and reboot. Also update your Graphics drivers. If this issue has anything to do
with your Audio, and you have a Geforce, the driver update should fresh your Audio drivers too.

There are so many things you could do, but these are the one's I would start with.
If this doesn't help you, I hope it sets you on the right track to solving the problem.

Me ;)
