Hello, I've got a Fhilips fidelio x2 with V - Moda BoomPro mic and a ASUS Xonar U7 MKII. And I've got a problem where my mic picks up a lot of my computer sounds. I can have videos at like 20% volume and people in my discord can here it quite clear though my mic Its almost like some of the sound goes through my mic and then to the headphones. This problem also existed before i bought the Asus Xonar U7 MKII (when i used my motherboards audio). Anyone know what the problem might be and how to fix it? And yes, Stereo mix is disabled.

Philips Fidelio X2 has an open back design, which means that the sound is leaking through the headphones. I had that mic with Sony MDR-1A, which has a closed design and I had no issues at all with sound leakage.

I only guess that this is your problem. You could always try to lower the mic boost if that is enabled or maybe try some other headphones?

The V-moda mic has a volume slider on the wire and if I turn down the volume to the lowest so i dont hear anything anymore, my mic (in Dicord) still picks it all up, thats why I don't think its a leaking problem (open). But ill try to test it with another pair of headphones just incase, if I have any that i can remove the wire.

Same problem with ASUS Spitfire USB soundcard has been posted here. The problem is hardware-based, an unofficial fix is provided. It could happen, that Xonar and other Asus soundcards have a similar issue. I would be pleased if someone could check the layout of the audio circuit there. Meanwhile, waiting for a reaction from ASUS.
