Hi i'm hoping someone could give me some advice, i have been given a Ryzen 1500x coupled with a motherboard, case and Sfx psu 600W for free from a relative as they seem to be going for a more higher value performance machine.

The problem is I have no interested YET maybe in the future, to build a gaming pc all i want to build is a decent pc to play movies on a 21inch monitor for my bedroom as i already own a console.
I have been looking at some graphic cards for this and seems that the best bet would go with a 1050 Ti 4GB or 1060 6Gb but i'm questioning my self if its really worth the money? Maybe in the future there will be better cards as they seem a bit outdated?

Since i have been given everything for free my budget for a GPU is £400 but i feel this it may be a waste to spend that much?

The GPU can not be longer than 195cm as the case i have been given is a Jonsbo U1 Plus.

My question is, should i go ahead with something with a 1060 as it seems more fitting for the hardware i have been given or can i just purchase any budget GPU if so may i ask which is good enough simply to browse and play movies?

Many thanks in advance for any sort of replies

If you have not interest in gaming and don't have an old card laying around then buy GT 1030 and use the rest of the money to get a SSD, memory and/or a bigger monitor. Then down the road if you do plan on playing games you can upgrade it no point in wasting money. However if you are even considering gaming then go with the 1050 ti that will allow you play games now @1080 with at least med settings.
