Hello guys,
I have a question concerning ram speed. I am about to overclock my CPU and would like to take advantage of my ram. My rams are those of 3000 MHz (4 x 8 GB) and seem to run dual channel.
When I set in BIOS 3000 MHz and check again with CPU-Z application, ram frequency appears 1500 MHz (half of value set). I made some search and noticed that since my rams run dual channel and that is a reason why my ram is running at half-speed.
So I would like to ask if I am able to set in BIOS ram speed 6000 MHz and it will be halved to 3000 MHz, which is exactly the speed of my ram. Or I would get a problem when doing that?
Thanks for your help.
