So I bought a new case the other day, the Corsair Crystal 460x and it's working fine except this bottom front fan starts spinning until my PC boots into windows, but the leds are still on (it's corsairs rgb fan) I currently have it plugged into my motherboard. I switched connector to see if it was faulty and hooked my fan in the back to the same slot but the back fan keeps spinning. So is there something wrong with the fan or maybe it's something in the bios?

Solution
Hmm ok. So the fan is plugged into the motherboard. What about when you go into bios? Did you set up some sort of fan curve for that fan? If the fan is not pwm (usually not), then it should be on the dc or voltage setting in bios for that particular fan, and using a smart profile of response in temp to whatever sensor on the motherboard it allows you to select.

Should...it not spin on startup? This is normal behaviour. All fans should start spinning as soon as you press the power button. Or do you mean it spins when the rest of the pc is asleep or off or something? Or that it stops spinning eventually?

Spins UNTIL it boots into windows, maybe I should've clarified some more. The fan spins until it boots into windows, at which point it just stops, but the leds are still on.
