both these mobos seem pretty good to me, same price, similar stats. I'll be using them with a Ryzen CPU and aim for achieving 3200MHz on my RAM, but I've seen many people on the internet having problems with that... Still, the ASRock K4 seems to be praised way more than the PC mate. What should I go for?

^ lol mate , just posted on that thread.

https://patriotmemory.com/news/press-releases/patriot-announces-memory-compatibility-with-amd-ryzen-and-am4-platforms/

Read that article , the k4 was used in testing by patriot.

The k4 is a way way better board IMO (& in most places is $20-30 more expensive), that said MSI seem to have put more effort into ram compatibility & speeds with their 'memory try it' option in the bios.

It depends on what ram kit youre looking at buying , there has still been too much forceful debate on r speeds , I'd personally be happy with 2666 or better 2933 & honestly would not base my board decision solely on on hitting 3200 - quite simply because unless you stump the extra for cas 14 Samsung b-die it will likely not happen.

It's the Patriot Viper Elite 16gb 3200 you know from the question you answered a while ago. You marked them as "probably Samsung b-die".
