Can i use I5 2nd gen laptop processor in a desktop mother board?

I have a hp pavilion dv66006tu laptop . Its display and charging cirtuit is not working. Can i use the processor i.e i5 2410M in a desktop ? If i can then what will be the specifications of the motherboard ?

If you can actually take the cpu out and it is not soldered on the motherboard them yes you can use in a desktop. You will need a motherboard with h
H61, H67, Z68 or Z77 chipset.

Doubt it, it is either FCBGA1023, PPGA988 as a socket spec.

The 2500k for example is LGA1155

So they are different sockets
