For some time I didn't update my graphics drivers and today I went to play gta v in which I have more than 60 fps all the time on pretty high settings, but suddenly I had like 40-55 all the time, then I went and played some rainbow six siege and I notice the game was pretty laggy and stutery so I went and turned on fraps and my fps was under 55 but I usually have around 100. I went into radeon software and updated my driver and still no change.

My specs:
Radeon rx 480 8gb
i5 4690k @ 3.5 ghz
12 gb ddr3 ram at 1600

1. Is that a reference card ? 6-pin or 8-pin connector ? You may be running into power limit issues.

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/RX_480/29.html

The RX series cards have not shown instances of thermal throttling at 84C which this card won't typically hit because it will usually hit the power limit before the temps get high enough.

2. What resolution ? Should be breaking 100 fps

All games are set to their highest quality setting unless indicated otherwise.
AA and AF are applied via in-game settings, not via the driver's control panel.
