Hello. I'm having this problem for a long time now and I just got tired of it.
Anyway, I have a wifi extender from D-Link (TL-WA850RE) in my bedroom and the modem is about 6meters always from the modem.

It works perfectly on my Samsung S3 till my father's smartphone (it is an old model, but I don't remember which one is now) and it connects to the Extender wifi (it has a different name from the "main" wireless). When this happens he can use this wifi perfecly fine but I can't connect to it anymore (no error msg), not even after he disconnect from the extender wifi.

PS.: sorry if the language I used is not correct. English is not my mother language and this subject is not one that I usually talk about in English xD

Take a look at each device and determine what IP address is being assigned and how that address is being assigned.

My thought is that there is an IP address conflict: two devices are using the same IP address.

That usually happens when there is some misconfiguration within the network.

Check the router's IP address and the Extender's IP address. The router should be reserving a static IP for the extender and no other device should be using or given that static IP address.
