Sorry, just not feeling it today, I do have an hdd, I was just wondering if I should get an ssd or ram. Ssd will make my boot times much faster but it would be nice if I could get rid of my 4gbs of ram. (Budget Build)

Well...4GB RAM is pretty marginal.
And an SSD would be a good upgrade as well.

Of course, we do not know what the use of this system is, or what the other parts are.

RAM. Best to purchase a kit. If you add on to your current amount it will probably work but there's a chance it will not. We've ran into plenty of people who purchased additional RAM with all the same specs and they wondered why it wasn't working right. RAM kits have been tested to ensure compatibility.

Ok, I just thought, I should use the money to buy an ssd for faster boot times as that will make the game much more responsive.

An SSD is far more than just 'boot time'.
But, 4GB RAM is already 'not enough' for a system today (and we still don't know the rest of the parts).

I've given my recommendation....your choice.

Ik it is lol, I'll just take my share of another 4gbs anyways, thanks for the help.

How does a quicker boot time equate to more responsive gaming?

Most games don't play any better from an SSD but RAM definitely makes a difference.

For gaming I'd go in this order personally
Minumum 4GB RAM
CPU up to i3 or Ryzen 3
GPU up to GTX 1060 - RX 480
RAM up to 8GB
CPU up to i5 / Ryzen 5
GPU up to 1070
SSD
RAM up to 16GB
CPU up to i7 - ryzen 7
GPU up to 1080Ti
