I am using a micro atx intel DH61WW motherboard and i5 2320 processor. I want to upgrade my motherboard. My budget is 156$ - 234$. Problem is I have a ddr3 hyperx 8 gb ram and i don't want to change it so i'm looking for ddr3 motherboard but any suggestions on ddr4 motherboard will be helpful also.

Thank you.

You should only be upgrading the motherboard if you're also upgrading the RAM and CPU. If you are willing to do that, the best option right now would be a B350 motherboard, such as the Asus Prime B350-Plus, paired with a Ryzen processor, and 8 or 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. There's not much point in upgrading the motherboard if you plan on keeping the same CPU.
A motherboard upgrade requires buying a new CPU, RAM, Motherboard and often a new Windows license.

Hardware wise. This is about as good as it gets for that budget. Which for most general purposes won't feel like much of any upgrade. Technically it offers a vast array of superior features and upgrade paths.

What are your reasons for upgrading? At that budget replacing your boot drive with an SSD will be much more noticeable. Depending on your uses.

My gpu is too big for my motherboard and the gpu is blocking my hard disk ports, and most of all i'm frustrated with the wiring management. So i'm actually looking for a long term investment.

Given that you will need a new CPU and RAM. This is likely the best motherboard you can buy along with those components on your budget.

This is the fastest performance option. It also supports overclocking and the motherboard has a decent set of expansion options. Plus AMD will be releasing CPU updates until 2020 for the AM4 socket. The AMD route is likely the better option.
