So Ive got a WD MyBook Live white edition and I cant for some reason access the drive. I found a script online I thought I would try but sadly it didnt work. At this stage I thought the hard drive was faulty so I tried to format the drive as NTFS and test to see if windows could pick it up, which it did perfectly fine so I know the drive is functional.
It just seems to me that the network firmware has somehow become corrupt and Im unable to see the drive on the network. Anyway so I tried running that script and it didnt work Im still stuck in the same boat.
here is the guide I followed trying to fix my drive, I dont know if maybe the drive is still faulty because after the script was ran through on ubuntu it hasnt worked for some reason. the model no of the drive is WD10000H1NC-00.

can anyone please help me as im not sure what to do next for trouble shooting this issue im currently facing.
