My HDD was failing so i bought a new one and clean installed Win 10 on my PC without cloning. The first thing i did was go to security and update in the settings tab. After downloading some NVIDIA display drivers, among other things, I was all set to start over. Question is, If Windows installed my display driver already, what other drivers did Win 10 install? Is there a checklist i can go through to see what drivers I need, or what i already have? IS windows able to recognize my PC and therefore automatically download drivers for it?

Or if you want to be a real champ, link me the drivers I need while i go to bed so i won't have to search for them.

CPU: FX 8350

MOBO: MSI 990 FXA GD65

GPU: GTX 1060

Your motherboard has driver support until windows 8 64bit. So you have to use the windows 10 default drivers. There are no drivers provided by your manufacturer for windows 10. Windows 10 will be installing the default drivers on it installation.

For your GPU go here(https://www.geforce.com/drivers) and at the bottom of the page click on Auto Detect Your GPU button. It will detect your GPU and provides you with the option on its drivers. Download and install it.

Peace.

Windows will install all the necessary default drivers for your PC. Windows includes built-in drivers and automatically downloads new ones to make setup easier, but device manufacturers also provide their own driver packages. You can use the drivers provided by the hardware manufacturer to use the hardware to its full potential.

Peace.

Go to your motherboard manufacturers website look for the board and download it's drivers (don't download the extra software onlt drivers)

Then go to the nvidia website and download the drivers for the gtx 1060.
