Hey all!
Looking to replace an old gaming machine that's finally died (May she rest in peace). Almost seven years with a single GPU upgrade. But now I'm looking for a new build to last me a while under the same scenario.
I've no set budget in mind - Only that I don't want or need the best. No VR, no Multi Monitor (exluding somtimes connecting another screen for the odd 'learning' habbit.
I've a list below of what I'm looking at so far, but It's far from complete. I'm wondeing if you lovely people can help me finish it! A soft guess of budget would be around £1000 in total. Starting it all from scratch! I can't rely on old pc case/psu etc.
CPU: Intel Core I5-7600K 3.8Ghz Quad Core Kabylake CPU Processor
RAM: 16Gb of ????? .. I beleive this needs to be chosen once you select a MB?
MB: I have no idea. I can't seem to find a reliable source of information due to the overclock on the processor. But I will only need one PCI slot/Graphics card.
GPU: Nvidia 1070.. Again, unsure of pitfalls of brands but I used to look at ASUS/Gigabyte.
Storage: Looking two TB drives. One for games, one for files. With a 500gb SSD.
PSU: A 650 Watt? Open to brands.
I am open to suggestions! The end result is gaming (dont need 4k!) and other random stuff. Skyrim, Civ, Stellaris.. Nothing spectacular.
