Test bench working but not working inside the case

So I got my new motherboard and ram today. I built weverything up and put it all in the case only too find out that the LED's blink once, no fans spin and then nothing after pressing the power button.

Then I decided too take everything out and make a test rig too see if my parts work. I set it all up and yes everything posts and lights up and I get into the bios.

So what's the problem here? Is it the standoffs in the case? When I was putting my mobo in the case the screws didn't seem too fit the standoff screws perfectly but with a few form pushes as I screwed some screws in they all seemed too go in the standoff screws fine. Another thing is that I didn't change or touch any of these standoff screws and they worked just fine for my pervious mobo. My case is the NZXT H440.

Thanks :)

Also the tabs from the I/O shield could be accidentally inserted into said ports. You accidentally have too many standoffs. It's best to install all internal components connected to the motherboard one at a time to see which component causes the grounding issue to replicate. Start with only the motherboard to see if you can get to the bios.

It could be anything metal touching the PCB in an unshielded area, or possibly an issue with the front panel connectors. The screw holes in the mobo and the area around them are shielded. I would look for unused standoffs, loose screws, or anything that might cause a short.

Omg haha so I re-assembled everything back together and did what you said too keep booting the system each time I add another part or plug something in and it was because I plugged in the 4pin connector at the end of the molex cable I have for my fan spliter into a 4pin on the front of the mobo and I guess I'm not supposed too do that, I removed it and everything booted fine. Thanks :)
