As the title asks, will this setup work without explosions and fire?

GPU: GTX 1050 ti

CPU: I5-6400 2.7GHz

Motherboard: Z170A-G43

CPU-Cooler: Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing

Case: Cooler Master - HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Optical Drive: Asus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

Memory: Vengeance LED - DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3000MHz

Storage: 1.5 TB SATA 3.0 GB/s 5400 RPM

Sound Card: No idea

So, can you help out a newbie :)

Yes it will. But question is, what you need Z170 board for non-overclockable CPU? Just for RAM overclock? You would not see much difference between 3000 Mhz ram and 2133 Mhz (which is max alllowed on non-OC board). Also, stock cooler will work just fine with 6400, no real need to buy 212 EVO.
