Hey guys, hey everyone!

Yesterday I bought a 2x4gb Kingston RAM Kit to upgrade my pc. I took the old RAM out and put the new one in correctly. It was a piece of cake. But when I plug my pc in it started a beeping sound and the fans stayed on, but nothing was displayed on the monitor. I had to plug the pc out and put in the old RAM and now it works again. I can’t refund the RAM so I really want to make it work. I don't and I'm not using the old RAM with the new RAM I took the old one out, so that can't be a problem. Before I bought the new RAM I checked all its specs and it is literally the same as my old RAM but faster.

My spec:
Motherboard: FUJITSU D3011-A1 (CPU)
Old RAM: 4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3
New RAM: Kingston 8GB /1333 ValueRAM DDR3 KIT (2x4GB)

Thanks for the help guys:
Dave

While the specs may work, the timings are the more essential part. Typically motherboard manufacturers will publish a qvl list of memory compatible sticks tested with their board. Only those on the list are guaranteed to work. I do not know if the model number of your new memory is the same as your old memory but from results, I would suspect not. Again, this is something to ask fujitsu about really.

Try different slots. 1/3, 2/4, 1/2, 3/4 and so on. See if gives signs of life on any of them.
Another thing to check is to see if your mobo, which in this case is fujitsu's, has any bios updates. Maybe new, faster ram, needed firmware update for the mobo to support it.

Thanks for the quick replay. That was my first thought as well...but it doesn’t seem to be any updates past 2011, and the supported operating system is windows 7 but I’m running windows 10, could this be the problem?

Well..I suppose there is a possibility but I don't think so. This is just a case of pretty standard memory incompatibility as the system works just fine with your old memory sticks. I'm not sure what to suggest at this point. You can try talking to fujitsu, ask them directly why the new sticks aren't compatible right off the bat. They may have some updates for you, or may just shrug and say it's not supported but at least you'll know where you stand.

It's 3 short beeps and than the fans stay on but nothing happens. What I don't understand is, that I chacked the mobos manule and purchased a RAM that was listed under the supported categori (ddr3 1333Mhz, CL9, non-ECC, 240pin) so it shoud work, right.
