Mixed RAM modules - Same brand- different.

Hi

I have obtained some modules from a retired Server and wanted to use them in my desktop to bring it up to 16GB. I have the following:
3x NANYA 4GB 1333Mhz ECC DDR3
1x NANYA 8GB 1333Mhz ECC DDR3

I don't care for 20GB, 16GB is sufficient.
Current MB in signature thing.

Are you talking about your Gigabyte Z87x-UD4H?

3.Support for non-ECC memory modules

Unless you have a server type motherboard in your desktop, It won't support ECC memory. Certainly not a mixture of ECC and non-ECC memory.

Your motherboard does not support ECC modules, only non-ECC modules, so I'm afraid those sticks will not work for you.
