Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6570

To be able to use a gtx1070 to its full potential you would need just about a new pc.
Keep in mind that you have an old pc and upgrading just your gpu will be just wasting money because you cant take maximum power from it.
It will be bottlenecked from you cpu.
To change to a decent cpu you will need a new Mb and new Ram.
Your Psu is probably not strong enough and also probably low quality.
Even your case wont probably fit a 1070.
Take the advice from the answers above. Go for a 1050Ti for example (assuming it will POST)
Or save some money for a new PC alltogether.
You will need a 550w quality PSU but if your PSU is large enough the card is compatible with your system. However it is a bit overkill for that cpu, so unless your planning cpu upgrade in near future or this is for 4k gaming I would consider a lower rank GPU.

In theory, yes. In practice, maybe not.

The proprietary boards (like the Acer) do not always support "new" GPUs. Usually you'll have no problems up to the 700 series from nVidia, but newer (900 or 10 series) may not post.

Your PSU will play a part too. The 1080TI is potentially ~200W more of a power draw vs the 6570 (44W).
Your PSU would need the appropriate connectors for the card, and needs to be of sufficient quality to adequately power it.

Dimensions inside your case could be a problem too, but you'd likely need to measure for clearance.

I'd also expect a locked i7-2600 to hold back a 1080TI in a lot of cases, as without an overclock (which can't be done on the Acer board), it's not the strongest CPU out there.

What resolution do you intend to game at? For example, at 1080p, somehting like a 1050TI (*assuming no post issues*) would be a smarter purchase and a very solid upgrade over a 6570.
