I plan on selling my PC but I want to delete everything off it before selling. I've tried researching the past couple of hours I'm getting turn around here. At first I saw something about using a program called Dban, but apparently that doesn't work on ssd's. So then I saw that my ssd (samsung 850 evo) has a secure erase function through the magician software. So I tried that but it didn't delete the OS. So what is the best way to delete as much as possible before selling my PC? My PC has a 1tb ssd 850 evo and a 1tb hdd, but the hdd was just used for game storage.

Solution
Clean isn't the best option, secure erasing the SSD (which is near instant) which deletes the current encryption key is the way to go.

Secure Erase in Samsung Magician should make you create a flash drive to boot off of.
Connect the SSD as a secondary drive in your system (if it's not already so connected) and use the "clean" command with the Windows Diskpart utility. ENSURE THAT YOU SELECT THE CORRECT DISK TO 'CLEAN'. Understand the 'clean' command deletes everything on the drive and returns it to an uninitialized state completely devoid of data. Capiche?

If you don't know how to use Diskpart, do a Google search for "diskpart clean command" and learn about this valuable utility.

I did have to do that. It says it created a boot drive successfully, then I click start and it just restarts the pc and takes me back to the windows sign in menu.

You need to alter your BIOS boot menu.
USB first.
Power off, and then it should boot from that USB.

Edit: Figured it out.
