Solution
If you are asking for a recommendation for adding a discrete gfx card, list your system specs. Not that stuff above.
At least say if the case is tower, desktop, small form factor, or something else.
And if you want a recommendation on what card you can use NOW, tell us what PSU you have now... not what you want to get. Chances are, you may be able to use a GTX 1050 Ti if you have at least a 300W PSU with decent specs.

The i5 2400 is a CPU not a GPU. Do you have a dedicated graphics card?

The i5 2400 alone with no dedicated graphics card will draw 100watts at most under full load in a stress test.

That's excactly what my plan was, i needed low profile because i have a dell optiplex 790dt with limited room but just wanted to know if i could draw enough power

Look at the nameplate on the PSU. If it looks like this (check the +12V rating), it is marginal for the low profile GTX 1050 Ti. However... I am running the Zotac GTX 1050 Ti low profile in my Dell Optiplex 790 SFF with that PSU and experiencing no problems. But I do so knowing I'm taking the PSU to its max now and then.
