I'm running two Zotac 1080ti's, and I'm actually dipping below 60fps in most games. I'm not sure if its a heating issue, but my mother-card is running at 90C under load, while my 2nd card rarely gets above 75C. Any help?

If the GPUs have ACX-style (2/3 fans on the face) as opposed to reference (do they call it "Founders Edition" now:/) design, they expel hot air back into the case, so it's all about having massive airflow through the case to expel heat. The reference design, for all its efficiency drawbacks when compared to ACX, at least expels hot air outside the case through the back of the card.

Opening the case as suggested might help. If that is not practical for continued use, you'll need to re-examine your case fan placement and speeds to make sure you are moving lots of air through the case. Even then, the primary card will probably always run hotter due to constrained area in front of the fans.

The cards take up 2.5 slots each so its already as far down as it can go :/

how about crank up the fan speed? dont go to like 80% for daily usage for sure, it will reduce age. how about case fans too? or maybe if you want a pretty expensive solution you can put some waterblock and cool it with liquid cooler

I've tried the fan option and it doesn't really help the first card at all, only the second. As for water cooling I'm looking into finding a water block to fir my Zotac 1080ti amp extreme(s) but there aren't any out for that specific card yet. I really don't want to have to buy two new cards just so my system doesn't melt lol. 90C is unacceptable

are you running push pull fan configuration in your case? try to open the case side panel, it might help the cooling a bit

acx is the technology that evga made tho, for sure founders edition can probably do better in sli config with tight gap between both card because of its blower style fan, but however the founders edition cooling is pretty terrible, the best solution is still using liquid cooler, or get case with better airflow, or reconfigure the fans configuration
